Your team could spend your days playing soccer with kids in various communities throughout Guatemala City, helping with soccer clinics, building or improving fields where soccer ministry takes place, or constructing a new home for a family currently living in an over-crowded shack.
No soccer or construction experience is required, just a compassionate heart for people in need.

How much does the trip cost? Approximately $800 + Airfare (which is currently running in the $350 - $450 range.)Contact us for a custom quote.
Do I need a passport or visa? YES! To travel abroad to any country outside of the United States you now need to have a passport. No visa is currently required for US Citizens to enter Guatemala at this time.
How long is this trip? Generally our trips are 7-9 days, though teams can always choose to either extend or shorten their length of stay.
Where is Guatemala? Guatemala is located on the Northwest end of Central America and is bordered by Mexico to the West, Belize to the Northeast, Honduras to the East, and El Salvador to the Southeast.
What's included in the cost? Everything you'll need once you enter Guatemala: food, lodging, transportation, drinking water, a one day trip to beautiful Panajachel, and even supplemental health insurance!
What's not included in the cost? Airfare, passport, vaccinations, spending money, and offering at church services.
Where will we be staying? You team will stay in guest housing and dormitories at the Nazarene Seminary located approximately 30 minutes from the airport. The school will provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner for your team each day.
What language do they speak in Guatemala? Spanish.
Is it safe? Crime occurs in Guatemala, just like everywhere else, but we take extra precautions and lay down strict ground rules to ensure safety.
What about bugs, snakes, and other poisonous creatures? Guatemala has its share of these animals, as does every tropical country on earth. The chance of seeing anything dangerous is very, very slim. You can plan on seeing plenty of stray dogs, and maybe a monkey. if you're lucky.
Who can go on this Mission's trip? Anyone you want to bring. Simply Missions is different from other short-term mission agencies in that we want to work alongside you as a leader in developing both your skills and your team. We welcome you to include families with children, junior high, high school and college students, and adults of any age!
How do airline tickets work? We have arrangements with a couple of different travel agencies that specialize in group travel. Also, we can put you into direct contact with most airlines which offer a discounted rate for groups of 10 or more.
